The Dry Garden

The Dry Garden

This garden faces south along 28th Ave North, and features Sumac and ‘Spring Wonder’ Sargent Cherry Trees, which were planted in September, 2013, to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Japan’s Gift of Cherry Trees to the United States. The cherry trees are in peak bloom in mid - May. This garden features a dry, rock-lined creek bed with raked gravel that is crossed by a low, wooden pedestrian bridge. The garden path directs attention to a gate concealing the site of a future Japanese Garden beyond.
