The Edible Forest
Help establish an Edible Forest of fruit and nut trees in north Fargo! Thanks to a conservation grant via the Outdoor Heritage Fund, construction will begin spring of 2019. This educational garden will include native fruit-bearing shrubs and pollinator-friendly perennial plants. Set along a connecting, winding trail, and adjoining the established Alphabet and Sensory Gardens, this Edible Forest will be a place of rest and contemplation, as well as a haven for wildlife. As the Edible Forest grows, it will provide a number of opportunities for community members to learn how to nurture and harvest fruit bearing trees that thrive locally. Join the team of gardeners, fund-raisers, and community volunteers working to build and grow this wonderful resource!
