The Northern Plains Botanic Garden Society will be hosting their 21st Annual Meeting on Tuesday, March 12th, 7:00 p.m., at Sanford Neuroscience Clinic in the atrium, 700 1st Ave S, Fargo.
The meeting will begin with a brief annual business meeting, followed by the keynote presentation, then refreshments. All are welcome to attend!
For the Business portion of the meeting: There will be a Board election for two Board positions. Also, we will vote on proposed changes to the bylaws that address NPBGS Committee structure. Please see the attached file with the proposal for changes to committees.
Keynote speaker will be Tim Chapman, CEO and executive director of the International Peace Garden. Mr. Chapman will give a presentation on “The International Peace Garden: What’s Next?”
Chapman joined the International Peace Garden in May of 2018, putting a pause to his studies at the University of Wyoming where he was pursuing a degree in Agroecology with a minor in Horticulture. He previously lived in Minot and Rugby, ND, working as a journalist. He has a Journalism degree with a minor in Spanish from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. His position at the International Peace Garden combines a background in communications with his affinity for plants, which he developed in his youth while working in greenhouses in Fairfax, Virginia,
