This spring, the Northern Plains Botanic Garden Society will break ground on an Edible Forest at their garden site - 1211 28th St. N in Fargo. Thanks to a matching funds grant awarded by the North Dakota Outdoor Heritage Fund, the Edible Forest will be an educational garden that will provide a number of opportunities for community members to learn how to nurture and harvest fruit-bearing trees that thrive locally.
At 6:30pm, a panel discussion featuring Jim Hanson (landscape designer), Jim Walla (plant and cultivar advisor), and Mindy Grant (community education consultant) will outline the vision of the Edible Forest and answer community questions. Plans for how this new addition will fit into our area will also be on display throughout the evening.
Now for the fun. Light refreshments will be served, and guests are invited to participate in a bucket raffle for a chance to win prizes.
Join fellow community members and horticulture enthusiast to discover what this opportunity can mean for you!
